RCareWorld is a simulation platform designed for human-centric caregiving scenarios involving physical and social robots. It incorporates realistic human modeling, home environments, and benchmark ADL tasks, drawing on input from experts and stakeholders. By interfacing with various physics engines and external planning and learning libraries, RCareWorld facilitates the development and evaluation of robot-assisted caregiving technologies in diverse and dynamic simulated environments.
A program founded by Cole Galloway at the University of Delaware, and has expanded to 40 other communities on an international level. In this program participants adapt commercially available electronic ride-on vehicles to meet the individual needs of children with mobility limitations.
Student-lead sessions taught to peers that are within the Ithaca community. In these sessions atendees are instructed and guided to modify commercial toys to make them more accessible for children who normally would be unable to play with them.
This event provided students with a practical introduction to electronics through this interactive soldering project. We were excited were excited to see students actively engage with the projects and explore the potential of engineering in making more accessible technology
An event hosted for 7th to 12th graders in which they were guided through a hands on activity by our team. They learned the basics of soldering. It was an excellent opportunity to support and observe how such activities can inspire interest in engineering and highlight the role of adaptive technology in creating inclusive solutions.
